This is apparently the first review of Naked Armor’s new shave soap, Thor. I enthusiastically recommend this shave soap though it’s important to understand it’s characteristics as Thor is far from typical. This is an exceptional shave soap in its lubricity with an essentially non-toxic ingredients list composed primarily of frankincense, ginger & coriander essential oils with soothing aloe and jojoba. These essential oils are wonderfully fragrant but not over-powering…sophisticated and very manly. I characterize Thor as a very-high-lubricity/low-volume shave soap. It's so lubricating that no pre-shave is needed on my sensitive skin and yet produces an exceptionally comfortable BBS shave with no nicking. The caveat is that that it will take more soap to produce lather than is typical but that lather need not be cream-pie thick…this is what I mean by low-volume. Using a pre-warmed scuttle, apply a good dollop of soap, mix with a little water at a time to produce lather. Notice in the photo the small amount of lather in the scuttle; the brush has retained much of the lather. However, what is seen here is more than sufficient for two passes – my first pass is WTG & XTG, the second pass being ATG producing a consistently excellent BBS. The essential oils are exceptionally lubricating, smell wonderful, and are beneficial to the skin. This is an excellent soap for those valuing lubricity more than a thick lather, and certainly for those interested in non-toxic ingredients. Hats off to Naked Armor!

When I first received this razor , I checked the sharpness of the blade by free cutting the hair on my arm..Did not work ..So I try shaving the hairs on my arm...Did not work no hair was removed.So I used my strop/ 1200k wet stone/and paste on a strop .. I test the razor on arm again/ did not remove any hairs.So I decided to just shave with the razor,I was surprise that it she just fine.5 day later I shave again with the razor.it shave just as great as my 1st Shave.I don't know why the razor wants cut the hair on my arm.i brought the razor to shave with not to cut hair on my .I have know complains.

By far the best replaceable straight edge I own. The blade stays secure and doesn't move around like others.

Clean looking blade and it shaves without any problems or any cuts.

My Merlin was super sharp, and ready to use out of the box! Well balanced, very light, smooth movement on the pivot, and beautifully finished! A little more pointy at the toe and heel compared to my Solomon. A great shave!

Excellent daily driver with just the right blade gap. The weight and balance is just right. The handle gives a sure grip even when wet.

This razor really stepped up my shaving. I will never use another cartridge razor.

So I got my order in last night. I finished my day and retired to my hygiene chambers ie the shave den. I filled my scuttle with hot water to soak til warm. Got out the stypitic pencil “ just in case”. Warmed my towel and cracked open my newly arrived Brown Bess container pour shave soap. I loaded my brush and proceeded to quickly and efficiently bathe and wash my hair. Upon exiting I made my lather and “ Oh God the smell” luxuriously lathered my face whereupon I picked up my Naked Armour Lac and proceeded to remove all the growth while; bathed in an olfactory orgasm by Long Rifle soap and with cushion to boot. I finished a slow luxurious shave with a cool cloth and a splash of aftershave tonic in same wonderful scent and finished my ritual going to bed with a BBS face and a scent that lulled me off to sleep to dreams of the next time I get to perform my favorite activity, other than “accompanying my hot wife to chambers.” THANKS AGAIN LAURA!!!

This is a fantastic razor smooth safe and comfortable BBS shave. This razor will be in my rotation moving forward. Good quality and a fair price. Thanks Naked Armor.

I have the Priamus DE razor and I am very happy with it. It has a really nice weight (84G) and the handle fits well in my hand. The shave is medium aggressive and I found that I get a fantastic shave with the Gillette Nacet and the Astra SP blades.

This scuttle definitely improved my shave experience. If you haven’t experienced a nice hit shave lather I highly suggest you pick up a naked armor scuttle and give it a try.

I just got done using the Noah’s Organic shave puck. Wow what an awesome soap. My first time using a straight razor was a horrible experience. To be honest it was my first time wet shaving. I bought a very cheap puck off of Amazon and it had no slickness or cushion. This is not the case with Noah’s Organic Puck. This soap isn’t much more than what I paid for that horrible soap from Amazon, but it performs like a top tier soap. I had tremendous amounts of lather , and slickness and cushion for an amazing straight shave tonight. 3 wonderful passes. This soap is heading into my rotation.

Good service. Very well honed. Short lead time. This sharp straight razor now allows me to easily follow my employers dress code.

King Arthur razor had to be re-honed, but the process was super easy and the customer service was very friendly and effective. Now both the King Arthur and Samson slice-and-dice my beard like brand new and are razor sharp (literally)!

Mine did have a small crack in the resin inlay upon arrival, it doesn't affect the shaving. Perfect size blade that is easy on the eyes and fits like an extension to the hand. After a little stropping it makes a hot knife through butter look like childs play. Feels solid and shaves great! From sideburns to goatee it cuts flawlessly!
