At first, I was disappointed in purchasing Solomon aftershave because there isn't any fragrance, but I quickly changed my mind. It takes only a small amount to cool my face, and as I thought through it, I can now wear my favorite cologne when I use it.

This natural toner has tons of good organic ingredients like aloe vera, witch hazel, tea tree oil and chamomile just to name a few. The smell is ok. I am used to tea tree oil smell so if you are used to strong scent the smell might not bother you as much. This was for my teen boy who is just learning to shave and I wanted something that can be antibacterial and prevent bumps. Now this is a very expensive after shave most likely won't repurchase if its similar to cheaper ones. I do like the ingredients so time will tell how his skin reacts.

The consistency is light, wet and creamy. The label says to apply in a circular motion. So, you massage it into the beard as opposed to simply rubbing it over the surface. Honestly, I couldn’t tell the difference when I just rubbed it in vs. the recommended circular technique.

There’s no scent that makes you go “Wow!” But, there’s also no sting from alcohol and this does have some premium ingredients that are organic, if that matters to you for this type of product. I guess I just expected a beard balm would have a nice, masculine scent. This balm is more about moisturizing, softening and healing your just-shaven skin. Not sure why it’s a “Power Balm” though. This product may be targeting guys who are past or simply never were into cologne and like me, didn’t like the sting of after shave, but don’t mind babying their skin.

The jar is a good size and for me, will last 6 months or more, but I have mostly a full beard and just shave the top of head and cheeks.

Great balm, nice smell. All that is needed is a small dab amount that rubs into the skin and goes a long way. It is slightly oily but once you run it in it is not. It’s thin and blends right into the skin.

Sensitive shapers rejoice!

I've been looking for an aftershave product that I felt actually made a difference, didn't sting my face, didn't cause my irritation to actually become more pronounced and so forth. This is the product. I have finally found something that truly soothes and moisturizes my sensitive skin after a close shave, and it's a keeper. Not crazy about that particular leaf being brandished so prominently on the cover but that's okay. The product is so good I can live with that.

Kind of expensive off the cuff, but going to last at least 5 to 10 times longer than other products I have used such as Nivea or Gillette. Hence, it's cost is not outrageous considering one of these little jars will probably last me in the neighborhood of 6 to 10 months.

I like a really close shave but can't pull it off more than maybe two or three times a week shaving against the grain due to the amount of irritation I get when doing it daily. With this product I can take some risks because it calms my shave irritation so effectively.

It is a greasy balm, which leaves your face shiny for some time. If that is an issue for you, take note. For me, considering the moisturizing and long-term benefits each day I get from it, I'll live with a shiny face for half an hour or so.

Truly fabulous product. Don't know how I haven't found something like this by now after all these years!
